August Happenings

Our August meeting will once again be held at the Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre in the pottery studios.

Join us at 1pm for a demonstration of airbrushing underglazes with Tanya Bechara.

After the demonstration we will hold our monthly business meeting.

Sunday 6 August 1pm to 4 pm


The following weekend we shall be taking part in the Cronulla Creative Life Winter Night Market

Saturday 12 August from 4pm to 8.30pm at the Cronulla Anglican Church on the Kingsway.

Our big event for August is the National Open Studios Event which comes under the Australian Ceramics Assn of which we are a member.

Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 from 10am to 4pm will see us at Cronulla next to the School of Arts on the corner of Surf Road and Surf Lane.

We will be raising funds for Assistance Dogs Australia and will have pots and sculptures for sale, Demonstrations on the wheel and pottery paraphernalia for sale.  Clay, tools and more.

You can come by train or if driving park near the beach or in the multi level parking station in Croydon Street and walk up.

Special pots for you to buy

Dear Friends

This Sunday 23 July from 9am to 2pm we shall have some very special pots by our members on Display at the Gymea Tradies Club on the corner of Manchester Avenue and the Kingsway at Gymea.

The entry to the show is free and there will be many collectors of Australian pottery buying and selling on the day.

June Meeting - Wednesday 7 June 2017

Dear Members and Friends

Meeting for April

Dear Members and Friends

Our April meeting will be held at the Cronulla School of Arts Inc in Surf Road Cronulla on Wednesday 5 April.

The night will start with a talk about members recent tours of China.

Correction 4/4/17 - Joe will be telling us all about ramp rates and the use of witness cones while firing kilns.

Pick the odd one out... Joe at the site of the Terracotta Warriors in  Xi'an, China

then there will be supper before the business meeting.  Hope to see you there.

Annual General Meeting 1 March - all members welcome

Our March meeting will also be our Annual General Meeting.

All positions will be declared vacant and new nominations taken to elect a new committee for 2017.

Christmas Shopping 10th and 17th December

Looking for a special gift or perhaps a new serving dish for that special meal?

Members will have all sorts of unique articles for sale at the Ramsgate Organic Foodies and Farmers Market held at the Ramsgate Public School.

We will be there from 8am to 2pm on Saturday 10th and 17th December.. come and have a browse.. everything from jewellery to Christmas decorations and all sorts of beautiful hand made wares.

November/December Happenings

Dear Members and Friends

Our last meeting for 2016 will be held on Wednesday 7 December at 7.30pm in the Cronulla School of Arts upstairs meeting room.

A short business meeting will be followed by supper so please bring a plate of food to share. If you wish you may also take part in a lucky dip/Kris Kringle.  See your newsletter for details.

Throughout the year we have had activities at which we have promoted the our designated charity, Assistance Dogs Australia.

  We delivered a cheque and several donation collection tins plus 10 dog bowls of various sizes and colours which generous members had made for the use of the Assistance Dogs team.

The donations were gratefully received at the Engadine office...
