    Hi, thanks for your comment & link to Argyll Pottery blog. The black back of the hedgehogs is just a cobalt slip applied to greenware & fired once in a wood fired kiln. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Scotland & Ireland :) Best wishes, Nicola
