The 49th National Competition and Exhibition was held at the Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre Gymea NSW from 16 to 28 September 2016.

There are six prizes awarded with the total prizes being to the value of $2850.00

Sections include Open Wheelthrown, Open Handformed and Sculpture, Student Handformed or Wheelthrown, Indigenous Encouragement Award, People's Choice and the overall winner is awarded the major Port Hacking Potters Award.
