Last event for 2018 down at Bulli

Our last event for 2018 will be our stall at the Foragers Twilight Christmas Markets at Bulli Showground.

We had a great time last year and hope to do the same again..
Lots of Christmas gifts and functional wares for your festive table..

Bump Out, People's Choice and the Raffle

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Competition.It was fantastic to see so many quality works on display.


The show will be dismantled tomorrow Wednesday 31 October 2018 so please collect your work unless you have had a call to say it was sold, at the Hazelhurst Gallery between 9.30am to 4pm and bring your packing with you.

The People's Choice Award had many more votes than any other and the prize will go to Kay Alliband for Syrian Exodus which also won the Overall Port Hacking Potters Award.

Runners up were Bill Powell, Susanne Fraser, Svetlana Panov, Mollie Bosworth and Tanya Bechara.


The raffle of the three pots donated by our three generous judges, Shannon Garson, Merran Esson and Janet De Boos,  was drawn this afternoon at 3pm by a staff member of the Hazelhurst Gallery.
Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket.  It will be a great boost to our New Kiln Fund.

Two more days

there are two more days of the exhibition with Bump Out being on Wednesday 31 October 2018 10am to 4pm at the gallery.

There is still a chance to buy a raffle ticket to win a pot by one of our judges

plus still a chance to vote for the People's Choice Award.


We would like to thank our sponsors who have so generously donated both money and prizes. Some of the monies donated go to advertising and other expenses involved to make the competition worthwhile.

Celebrate our 50th with us...

EDIT -  we had a wonderful weekend with the competition exhibition continuing to 30 October with bump-out on 31 October.

ACOS Open Day Sunday 19 August

UPDATE:
thank you everyone who came along to our ACOS open studio event, talked to our members about the competition, watched potters throwing or handbuilding pots and bought pots or sculptures.
A big day for us all but great results.

Everyone is invited to come along on Sunday 19 August from 10am to 4pm at the Hazelhurst Arts Centre Gymea.

Demonstrations, pottery sales and information about our 50th National Pottery Competition.

Thank you for your support

A big thank you to all those generous people who donated to the Assistance Dogs today either by direct donation or by buying a piece of pottery.

The weather meant we lost a few pots that blew off the stand but the generosity of our customers has made it worthwhile..

The takings will be given to Assistance Dogs Australia shortly.

Helping Assistance Dogs at Sutherland Farmers Market

this Saturday 12 May we will be holding a stall at the Sutherland Farmers Market to raise funds to go to the charity we support, Assistance Dogs Australia.  Check out their website to see the great work they do training dogs for those in need: https://assistancedogs.org.au/
